Fashion vs. Function

Many times have I been guilty of choosing fashionable over functional footwear, as these stiletto ankle boots by Altuzzara for Target attest to. How can you not love them? This winter, determined to brave the elements, I was drawn to a pair of Sorel "Joan of the Arctic Wedge II" boots, after seeing a write-up about them on Net-A-Porter. Not only are they a dream to walk on, but they are luxuriously warm. And best of all, there is no compromise to my fashion sense, as I can still walk tall and embrace all that the Canadian winter has to offer.
