My Little Black Dress

I bought my first designer garment, this Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche dress at Ex-Toggery consignment shop in Toronto, a decade ago. The moment I put it on, I'll never forget the emotion and transformative nature of wearing this beautifully cut silhouette, by a fashion designer that I loved. It changed the way I looked, felt and walked. To this day, I revel in its charm. In the words of the great Monsieur Saint Laurent: "Dressing is a way of life. It brings you joy.
